St. Francis of Assisi School - Alumni Announcements

Sister Theresa Scanlon celebrated 25 years as principal of SFA, and 50 years as a Sister of St. Joseph (Brentwood, NY) in a reception on Sunday, September 11, 2011. Over 300 people of the parish, school and local community gathered for Mass and a reception which took place in the school auditorium. Proceeds from ticket sales were donated to the SFA Scholarship Fund.

The St. Francis community is saddened by the death of a beloved former principal.
Brother Maurus O'Malley, C.S.C., who served as principal of the boys' school at St. Francis of Assisi died on May 9th, 2010.
Brother Maurus had recently moved to St. Joseph Center in Valatie, NY. He also recently celebrated 70 years as a Holy Cross brother.
His obituary is in the May 22nd issue of THE TABLET.

Thanks to everyone who attended the Alumni Mass and Gathering on Sunday, April 25, 2010. Following the Mass, we gathered in the school to share old memories and have refreshments.
