Math hw and announcements week of 6/1

This Friday is half a day for Graduation Liturgy....

The end of the year is quickly approaching. That means report cards are around the corner. Feel free to email me about any work you may be missing.

7th grade
-The final for 7th grade is next week. We will be reviewing this week.
-The 7th grade project is also a big part of their grade. This is a project that spans all of the subjects.

Homework:
Monday- r 8-7
Tues-8-8 odd
Weds-8-8 even
Thurs and Friday Castle learning.

Castle learning is up now and can get started at anytime-this is review for the final.

8th grade

There is so much happening these last few weeks.
S.S. Test is on Tues and Weds.
Grad liturgy is Friday at 8:30.
There have been notes sent home about all of the events/trips/dances etc. Please make sure they get returned.

-They are working on a project that is their final for Math-they got to choose one of three projects. (building a model, writing a piece of fiction, making a ramp) This will be their homework all week.

We are constantly practicing for the graduation events.

Everyone was assigned a castle learning last week and should be up to date with all of their castle learning.

Field day was a big hit!! Thank you to Daniel's Mom for coming with us!

This Wednesday is the Science Fair-we look forward to seeing all the wonderful projects.

Because of the short week and Science fair both grades will have a test on Thursday.

There was an open book quiz last week-please see your child's notebook for the grade

Grade 8's final will be a project. They will choose 1 of 3 to complete. The projects are: building a ramp for a carnival game, making a model of a NYC building, writing 2 pieces of fiction based on any topics we have done so far-we will be working on these projects all next week

Graduation reminders:
Graduation permission slip for trip on June 8-will be sent home Weds
Graduation note about dance and brunch June 6 and June 7 will be sent home Weds
Graduation is June 12
Grad fee of $125 is past due-if you handed it in your child got a reciept.

Math hw and announcements week of 5/11

The 7th grade projects were amazing!! The children really worked hard and it paid off. Last week everyone gave their presentations and I know we were all impressed.

The 7th grade was also impressed by the great show we saw at Bishop Ford-it was a real treat. Thank you to Ms. Dyer for chaperoning with us. Everyone was well behaved.

The 8th grade took their science tests-saying it was a little difficult. They have one more state test-SS in June.

8th grade graduation fee of $125 is due this Friday. There was a note sent home about this last week.

Thank you to the parents who showed up for the graduation meeting. It is great when parents can get involved and help us out.

8th grade confirmation is this Saturday. They have practice Thursday night at 6:30 in the Church. They need to come with their parents and their sponsors. This is a mandatory meeting.

Both classes will have a quiz on Friday this week-the schedule is changed because of the Spring Show practice all week.

Spring show tickets are on sale now for the big show Friday night!

Reminder
Many students have incomplete homework assignments. You have until Monday to complete them. The previous assignments for Monday and Tuesday were( 7th grade) "Twenty Years Ago" plus the graphic organizer and Theodore Roosevelt plus the graphic organizer from the Student Application workbook.

Math hw and announcements week of 5/4

I hope everyone enjoyed the rainy weekend. Congrats to those people who made their communion!


Announcements:

The 8th grade is having their Confirmation on May 16th. They are having a practice on May 14th. We ask that sponsors and parents also attend this meeting.

The value of the month for May is Perseverance.

Please buy a centennial book

It would be great to see your message in the centennial book-reserve a spot now!

There is also a meeting this Tuesday for the 8th grade parents. A note was sent home about this last week.

The progress reports are due back Monday May 4th. If there is anyone who has any questions about their grade do not hesitate to send me an email or give me a call. I would be more than happy to discuss anything with you.

There is a bake sale on Friday May 8th. We are asking that all 8th graders send in something to sell. We also are in need of parents to help. Please let us know if you are free.

Ms. Judy's mother passed away, we ask that you please keep her and her family in your prayers.

7th grade
-The projects went very very well this past week. I think everyone enjoyed himself or herself and it turned out to be a great week.
-They will be presenting their projects to the class on Monday.
-There is a trip to Bishop Ford to see "Little Shop of Horrors" on May 8. This is a free trip!
-We are starting chapter 8-which is dealing with Geometry as well
