7th and 8th Grade Homework

Announcements:
1. Progress Reports are given out on 4/30/08. They need to be signed and returned by 5/5/08
2. The spring show is on 5/9/08. Tickets go on sale next week
3. There is no school on Thursday 5/1/08 and Friday 5/2/08
4. The 8th grade will take their Science Performance teat on 4/29/08 and the Science Written part will be taken on 5/5/08.

Tuesday - Rewrite the DBQ Essay in your notebook
Wednesday - Write a news article about an event that occurred in the War of 1812 and create a picture to go along with the article

There are 2 School Island Assignments currently assigned. They are due 5/8/08

8th Grade
Monday - 739 2, 3, 4
Tuesday - Rewrite the DBQ ESSAY on loose leaf
Wednesday - Work on the map of Europe during WWII.
Complete the foldable activity that was started in class

A short week with a lot to do...

We are still collecting pennies for those children who are starving in Haiti. Please donate whatever you can.

Progress reports come out on Wednesday.

No school Thursday and Friday.

Both grades had 3 worksheets on recycling that will be graded and returned to them on Friday. If it is not in by Thursday it is a permanent zero.

May 22 we are going to Ellis Island. Please let us know if you are interested in chaperoning.

Earth week 4/22

This week we will be celebrating Earth week!

There is a special prayer service in the garden on Tuesday.
Pizza Day Friday.

All classes will have worksheets for homework based on graphing and the environment, recycling and water use. They will have one worksheet per night. Please make sure it is complete.

Progress reports come out next week so late work is due Wednesday. Whatever is not handed in by Wednesday stays a zero.

Mathtastic week of 4/14

A lot of great things are happening in math this week.
7th grade is starting a new chapter about patterns and sequences.
8th grade is taking surveys and then graphing the results in various ways.

Weds-Confirmation retreat
Thurs and Fri-The 8th grade is going to share their children's math books with the younger students during DEAR time.

Both grades got a lot of test papers back this week-check out how well your child did!!
We also have been using a lot of technology lately. We used Excel in 8th grade and the Document Projector we have used in both classes.
