Hello Everyone !!

I hope that everyone is enjoying their summer vacations. I have been able to catch up with my reading. I have read 7 books already, how are you doing? Keep reading !!!! Check Ms. Villafane's webpage for new information about the summer assignments.

I have gotten emails from students who had some issues with Castle Learning (School Island). I am happy to report that all problems have been solved, passwords have been re-created and user names fixed. We were lucky to have Mrs. Mobijohn assist us in finding solutions; she also has directions to Castle Learning on her webpage, check them out. Please email Ms. Black Ms. Black or Mrs. Mobijohn Mrs. Mobijohn if you experience problems with Castle Learning.

In addition, the average number of 8th grade students who have completed all of their Social Studies homework is about 37%. The average number of 7th grade students who have completed their Social Studies summer assignments is approximately 27%. All students who finish the Social Studies summer assignments before 8/31/08 will receive extra credit. It is important to get the work done since these are your first grades for Trimester 1.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer vacation!! Maybe you are doing something relaxing, or working, or just hanging out with friends. I am working at a summer camp, having lots of fun!!

How is that school island coming? Those students who have it done before August 15th will get extra credit!! What a great way to start the new year.

Also be on the lookout for deals at Staples-get your supplies early so you don't have to worry about it.

I would love to do something on the Olympics in the beginning of the year so if you have some math facts about the olympics send it to me-or send me the link. (Get some extra credit and be ready for September) Remember the Olympics start 08/08/08!!
