Information about Graduation pictures was sent home last week. Grad Pictures will be taken on January 19^th, 2012

The Annual chocolate sale will begin on Thursday January 12, 2012 and will end on January 30^th.

Progress Reports will be sent home on January 25, 2012.

Catholic Schools Week begins on January 29, 2012. We are looking for volunteers to assist on Sports Day (Tuesday Feb. 1) and Career Day.

Career Day is a great way for parents, grandparents, college students or family friends to share their experiences with the students. Please contact Ms. Black if you are interested - black@sfabrooklyn.org. We would love to have you visit !!

Friday - Create a fo9ldable on the 4 section topics in Chapter 19. Each section must have 15 facts.

Each seventh and eighth grade student received a country to research and investigate. Collect some pictures on your journey - you will need them when we return in January 2012.  The worksheet is due on January 6, 2012.

7^th Grade Extra Credit - choose 1 or do both

The following two assignments are available:

<!-1.   Read the book "Johnny Tremain" by Esther Forbes. There will be three graphic organizers to complete when we return to school in 2012.

<!-2.  Create a shoebox diorama about on event in the American Revolution.

8^th Grade - Choose 1 or do both

<!-1.  Read a novel that has to do with World War I. There will be 3 graphic organizers to complete when we return in 2012.

<!2. Invent something that will assist students. Either draw a detailed picture or create a model, include should be a description of what the invention would do, how much it would be sold for.

On Friday the Christmas show is at 7pm. Students need to be at school at 6pm. Tickets are on sale in the office.

The Christmas Raffle (sponsored by the Class of 2012) is currently underway. Tickets are $2 for 4 and $5 for 12. The raffle will be help on Tuesday December 20, 2011.

The 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade will be attending a Penance service on Thursday.

Any parents who have not received the report card need to contact Ms. Black or Mr. Acanfora for an appointment.

The 7th and 8th grade will be having their Christmas party on December 21, 2011. Please remember to bring in your party item.

Report Card conferences will be on Wednesday December 7, 2011. The times are from 11:30-1:30 and 4 - 6pm. If you would like to have an extended appointment, please contact Mr. Acanfora or Ms. Black.

The Christmas Show is on December 16, 2011 at 7pm. Tickets will go onsale next week.

The 8th grade is sponsoring a Christmas Raffle. Information will be sent home about raffle prizes and ticket prices.

7^th Grade

There will be an Essay test this Friday on Chapter 4. You will be allowed to use your textbooks but this will only help if you have read the chapter.

Please finish your Western Frontier Projects - There are 5 parts to the project. Please make sure they are completed and submitted on Wednesday.

There will be an Essay test on Friday based on Chapter 18. You will be able to use your textbooks but this will only help if you have finished reading the chapter.
