Important Reminders for the of week of June 1st-4th

Thursday,June 3rd-NYState Science Performance Test:Encourage your child to review all notes and information given in advance for the test.
Written Science State Test is next Monday
Students should sleep no less than eights hours. Eat a nutritious breakfast, and bring 2 #2 sharpened pencils.on a daily basis.
Science notebooks were given on Friday to review their notes on all topics/questions to be prepared for the test.
Weekly Test notebooks:Students will be given weekly test notebooks and other sheets by Wednesday June 2nd. Please return notebooks signed no later than Friday, June 4th.

Friday, June 4th 11:00 dismissal. Students must be picked up on time.There is a Teacher's Meeting.

Projects for this week May 17-21st

Monday,May 17th- Religion Assignment-Corporal Works of Mercy and Spiritual Works of Mercy

On Wednesday, May 12th Each student was given the works of mercy they had to work on for the project.
Afterwards ,each student had the choice to select one of the categories in each topic to choose to deveolp their mini project.
This project is valued in two grades
a) Presentation- Contnet of the mini project
B)Oral presentation:Each student will explain in their own words their mini project with the guidelines that were given in class.
Verbalization, choice of words, positive message ,etc will be taken into consideration for the final grade.

Mini Project:Only date : Monday, May 17th.
Obs.We have many activities still to be engaged with at this time, preparation for State Science Tests,Science fair ,etc.Students need to learn to be responsible with the projects that have been assigned to them on time.


Thursday, May 20th. One page Essay Social Studies"A Famous New Yorker"
One page essay with written information in regards to the Famous New Yorker each student has selected. It could be a male/female figure from the past or present.
This individual must have positive influence in the growth of New York in any type of activity he /she has done.
The second page is an illustration of the figure each student has chosen.This consisits of two grades
1- Written presentation of the essay
2. Brief oral explanation of the assignment.


On Monday , you will have further information cooresponding to the weekly class and school activities.

Math State tests are here! Tests are Wed, May 5-7th. Students should sleep at least eight hours, eat a healthy breakfast,and remember to bring 2 sharpened #2 pencils.

Special Thanks to all the Parents that accompanied us on our great trip to Alley Park, well -appreciated!
Please bring at least 2 sharpened #2 pencils .Sleep eight hours , and have a nutritious breakfast.
It is important that you are well rested in order to focus on each test accurately.

Monday, April 26th- Multiple choice
Tuesday April 27th:Listening Skills. I encourage all students to practice listening to a short story , taking notes accurately in order to answer each question based on the details you have recorded in your notes.
Wednesday:April 28th: Listening Skills Test

Math Vocabulary List :Word that are used to distinguish figures and formats during a Math lesson.
Flower Box:Each student has been asked the donation of o.50 to purchase flowers for the box we are responsible for in the garden. We need the money no later than Wednesday,April 28thWe need to be responsible and punctual with all requested donations.

Pizza Sale: Wednesday,April 28th. $5.00.

NYState Math Tests: Students will have tests May 5-7th. Please revise the lesson practice(s), math Session Practice sheets . On Friday , each student will receive a letter stating which are the areas that your child needs more reinforcement for the coming State Assessment.

Trip -Green Meadows Farm:Tomorrow,April 20th is our trip to Green Meadows! Each child should come dressed in confortable clothing. Bring your own lunch and a bottle of water.

NYState Prep
: Each student will receive a letter stating the reminders for the NYELA State Test which starts on Monday,April 25th. Please revise the assessment that your child has received throughout this practice period . It is important that you check the observations that I have made throught each lesson.
Registration for 2010-2011:There are still students that have not returned the forms nor payments for the coming school year term.If you are moving or you are having a change of site, please inform the schoolas soon as possible.
