Information for the week of April 26-30th

NYState ELA test are here!
Special Thanks to all the Parents that accompanied us on our great trip to Alley Park, well -appreciated!
Please bring at least 2 sharpened #2 pencils .Sleep eight hours , and have a nutritious breakfast.
It is important that you are well rested in order to focus on each test accurately.

Monday, April 26th- Multiple choice
Tuesday April 27th:Listening Skills. I encourage all students to practice listening to a short story , taking notes accurately in order to answer each question based on the details you have recorded in your notes.
Wednesday:April 28th: Listening Skills Test

Math Vocabulary List :Word that are used to distinguish figures and formats during a Math lesson.
Flower Box:Each student has been asked the donation of o.50 to purchase flowers for the box we are responsible for in the garden. We need the money no later than Wednesday,April 28thWe need to be responsible and punctual with all requested donations.

Pizza Sale: Wednesday,April 28th. $5.00.

NYState Math Tests: Students will have tests May 5-7th. Please revise the lesson practice(s), math Session Practice sheets . On Friday , each student will receive a letter stating which are the areas that your child needs more reinforcement for the coming State Assessment.

Important information for the week of April 19-23

Trip -Green Meadows Farm:Tomorrow,April 20th is our trip to Green Meadows! Each child should come dressed in confortable clothing. Bring your own lunch and a bottle of water.

NYState Prep
: Each student will receive a letter stating the reminders for the NYELA State Test which starts on Monday,April 25th. Please revise the assessment that your child has received throughout this practice period . It is important that you check the observations that I have made throught each lesson.
Registration for 2010-2011:There are still students that have not returned the forms nor payments for the coming school year term.If you are moving or you are having a change of site, please inform the schoolas soon as possible.

Vocabulary Words are words/terms that have been selected from the readings and practice that we will be practicing in all lessons.

Students must take the time to study and work on the topics provided in class.Remember, you need to be prepared for your state tests.

Homework and General information-April12-16

Blessings during this Easter Season!
NYSPrep: During this time of Preparation for the ELA State Test ,we will not be a weekly story from our text.We will be focusing on refreshing topics related to our preparation forn the tests.Please rervise given assignments on a daily basis.
Donation:1.00 has been requested to donate for our Easter colaboration with a local shelter. Thanks.
Trip:April 20th is our class trip to Green Meadows.There are still students with no payment /permission slips.If you have lost the sheet,just write stating that you give full permission to your child to go on the trip.Please have the note signed and dated for our records. Thanks.

Words for this week are words related to stories and topics used for practice lessons.

Science:Read pgs assigned in class Create 4 questions based on the topic w/answers

ELA:Copy and read reading compare and contrast w/characters read in the previous stories.
Math: Word problem-Calendar example.Months March and April 2010.
Religion:How is the Easter Season an example of new life for all Christians?
