1. Choose 10 spelling words, and use each one in a sentence.

1. Write your spelling words 3 times each and study for your test!

Winter Recess Homework and Reminders

1. Watch one event from the Olympics and answer the following questions. The Olympics will be on TV all week on NBC: Channel 4.


  • Why did you choose this event?

  • Where does it take place?

  • Which countries were represented?

  • Who were the athletes in the events? What were their names or what did they look like?

  • Describe the event. What happened? Who won?

  • Draw a picture of what you watched.

  • This needs to be completed on loose leaf paper or construction paper.


2. ELA practice workbook p.
3. Practice Testing Packet. Please take this seriously!
4. Review all the work that we have been doing in class.

  • Religion - the Eighth Commandment; we will have a quiz when you return

  • Math - perimeter, area, multiplying and dividing large numbers

  • ELA - Read, Read, Read!!! Think about what you've read, tell someone about what you've read, compare what you've read to your life, to TV, or to another book, and look up any words you don't know in the dictionary.

  • Science - review your notes about rocks and fossils, plants, and the balance

  • Social Studies - Study states and capitals!!! We will have a test the week you return.

Thank you to everyone who participated in Catholic Schools Week! It was so much fun!!! Brishawnna, Jeffrey, and Bianca all read poems they wrote at the Creativity Assembly. The results of the Spelling Bee are as follows: 1st - Kiara Caruth, 2nd - Chyna Macharie, 3rd - Ashley Norman. The results of the Math Bee are as follows - 1st - Noel Turner-Gravely, 2nd - Witnie Dupre, 3rd - Darnel Anglade. Thank you to all students who worked hard for the academic bees. Finally Class 4-103 would like to thank Mrs. Binet and Mr. Speakman for coming in for Career Day.
