Homework for October 24th-28th

Remiders:
1. Work on finding contributions for the Walk-a-thon. Every little bit helps!
2. Book orders are due on Thursday.
3. Saint project and costume are due Tuesday, November 1st. Students should wear their uniform to school and bring their costume in a bag. We are looking for parent volunteers to assist students when they are getting ready. Below are pictures from previous years. Take a look at past costumes for ideas.

2. Saint Project and costume must be brought in on Tuesday!
3. There is no school on MOnday!
4. Collect donations for the Walk-a-thon. Every student who brings in $75 by Friday gets a "No Homework" Pass.

4. Work on the Walk-a-thon. Our class came in 3rd place for the BIG APPLE fundraiser. Hopefully we can have full participation for the Walk-a-thon.

All Saints Day Project Information

All Saints Day is approaching quickly. Third grade students will be doing a religion report on a saint. The report should be one page and be handwritten, not typed. Please read information about your saint and write in your own words. Use the internet and books, but do not copy from them. Lastly, students need to have a costume prepared for the All Saints Day Prayer Service.

Homework for October 3rd - 7th

Reminders:
1. The first round of the BIG APPLE fundraiser should be turned in this week. Remember for every 10 items sold you will receive a NUT Card.
2. Wednesday we have a Place-Value quiz. Study, study, study!
3. Friday we have a spelling test and a vocabulary/reading comprehension quiz.
4. On Thursday an educator from the Smithsonian Museum will be doing a 45 minute activity with Class 3-103. The activity is about design. Students should be on their best behavior in order to get the most out of this excellent opportunity.
5. Friday at 9:00 we have an assembly put on by the "Human Calculator" (Scott Flansburg) sponsored by mathletics.com.
6. Pizza Day is next Thursday. Bring in $5 for two slices of pizza, a snack, and juice, if you are participating. Please always check the calendar, and don't wait for the last minute.
