Grade 6 Homework

Mathematics:

 1 .  Problem solving : " Make a table  " , 2 problems on page36 . Write your answer as a complete sentence.

 2 .Understanding Fractions,  Page 37 , R 3- 6 , Write a fraction for the shaded portion.

                                                                       Draw a picture to show each fraction.

3.  Dividing by a whole number. Page 24 R or P Answer all questions.

4. Equivalent fractions , Page 38, R - 3 - 7. Find two fractions equivalent to each fraction.

Science:

  1 .  Write the definitions of the vocabulary for the lesson. These words are on page 36.

 2 .  Write the lab Report on the triple beam balance.

 3 . Complete the diagram of the "rain forest plant"

Religion:

 Collect pictures for the collage on creation.

 Write a few sentences on the creation film from CTN

 2. Practice GCF , Page 34 , P 3 - 3.

 3. Least Common Multiple - Find the LCM of  all questions.

 4. Problem Solving : Page 34, Numbers 1,  2, from problem solving masters.

 5. Page 33 , Problem solving, solve the 2 problems given in class based on prime and composite numbers.

Science:

 1." Think and write "on page 35 in your science text,  5 questions. Be sure to answer the critical thinking question.

 2.  Lab report, of  the lab done on , "prepared slides."

 3. Continue the reading on , "Reproduction and growth". Answer all questions on page 73 of the text.

Religion.

   1. Complete the diagram on page 37 of textbook 

 2. Draw your idea of any aspect of  the creation story.

3. Compute using mental math strategies R 1  - 11

4. Problem solving " Plan and Solve , 2 problems- R 1- 12.

 Science:

1.  5 minutes science project due. Presentations will be done  from Tuesday 6.

2. Write definitions for the parts of a cell, both plant and animal.

3. Study for quiz.

Religion:
