7th & 8th grades

All classes must work on their bare books. We have made a list of the work until the month of March.
Also, all students must memorize their speech. The first week os April students must present their speeches.

7-204--Finish reading the novel "Roll of Thunder,Hear My Cry" pgs 241-276 PROJECT-Using construction paper create an alternate cover illusration-- prepare for a novel exam when we return.

8-205--Create a collage (magazine cut-outs and small objects glued to a posterboard) that conveys impressions from the novel, "Night"

8-206--read chapters read chapters 22-30 answer the following questions questions
1. Why was Tom able to win Aztec? 2. Red encouraged Tom to treat horses in a certain way.How did this kind of treatment conflict with Tom's Ute background? 3.Would you like to work for Red? Why or why not?
4.How were Meo and Tom alike? 5. What does "hard in spirit" mean? 6.In what states did Tom compete in the rodeo? 7.What words does the author use to make you see,hear,touch,taste,and smell rodeo world? 8.Tom thought about the Indian agent at the reservation. How was his advice like the doctor's?

7-204 read chapters 8 & 9 and answer the 5 questions pertaining to the chapters

8-205- rewrite your descriptive essays--exam on the novel Night tomorrow

8-206- read chapters 22 & 23 and answer the 5 questions.

7th & 8th

grades 7th & 8th--All students you are to define and write the vocabulary words in sentences. Be sure to study the words because you will have a vocabulary quiz on Thursday March 13, 2008.


Speeches all students should have shown me their speeches for approval. Begin memorizing them for our speech contest which will be held the first week of April.
