Christmas Assignments   - all students must study their vocabulary words from the novels. Final novel exam will be on January 6th, 2012. The exam will consists of the vocabulary words given as well as the entire novel.

Reminder- All students must begin searching for their speeches. Also, keep in mind January 11th, 2012, our special HSA meeting from 7- 8pm.

all classes- Cause/Effect relationship- Using a T-chart, list 10 cause/effect relationships found in the novels: The Giver, My Brother Sam is Dead, and Amos Fortune.

Questions- 7-203- 1. Even though Violet hid Amos' money from him, he still decided to leave her ( in his will) his household goods and all the improvements he had made on the land. As well as whatever profit there would be from his real estate. Why?        2. What wish did Amos want Deacon Spofford to carry out for himself?

7-203- Choices txtbk- read pgs 35- 42   Explore your reading p 43 -1-5- write questions as well as answer using complete sentences.

8-204- 1. What do you think the community gained and lost by removing choices?   2. The Giver said, "Maybe your wisdom will come much more quickly than mine." Do you think Jonas' wisdom will come more quickly? What do  you think Jonas will do with his wisdom?   3.Was it right for Jonas to try to make Asher see colors or tell Lily about real elephants? Explain.
