Project TIE Scores!!!
The parent/child evening workshop for Project TIE ELA was attended by 34 parents with their children. Dr. Guastello presented simple strategies for improving reading annd writing. The parents were very pleased with the information they were given and the tools they can use to promote their child's learning. We will have anothe set of workshops in the late winter.

Walkathon Winners
Grade 1-102 and the top 8 participants enjoy an afternoon of snacks and music as they celebrate their title as "Walkathon Winners". Ms. Lashley and 1-102 had 100% participation and raised $1290.00 for our project of 20 new computers and monitors.

Walkathon Update
The sun was shining on our students as they walked and jogged and ran to support their school! Thanks to all the many parents who accompanied the students to Wingate Track and helped mark off the laps completed. A very specail thanks to Mrs. Noel-Roberts who did all the preparation work: ordering the tee shirts purchasing prizes, and visiting each classroom more than once!! Mrs. Noel-Roberts along with Mrs. Browne-Baird and Mrs. Dyer stayed to count the money brought in today and to figure the preliminary results. More info to come by Thursday. There are others we will thank when we give the final results. Thanks to ALL who sponsored the students and supported their efforts. Our goal was for 100% participation and we almost reached it!!! The amount collected so far is more than $13000.00!!!!

Are You Ready???
Our 4th annual WALKATHON is Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006 and we are hoping for 100% participation.
To earn a tee shirt, a minimum of $35.00 is needed; however, only $10.00 is required to participate. We are praying for a sunny day and for as many adults to join the classes as possible. I have already received 3 bids for the computers and we are confident that we will be able to raise the funds to place our order by the end of the week!!!
If sponsors can not give the money until after Nov. 15, don't worry.... we will continue to accept the money throughout the month of November.
Thanks in advance for your continued support. Our technology program continues to offer state of the art equipment. See you on Tuesday!!
