Cancellation of MeetingDue to the lack of response to tonight's meeting, we are postponing this important informational meeting to Wed. March 7th. According to the responses returned, only 12 people would have attended and ths speaker requires a minimum of 20. I believe that this topic is so important that more notice will allow more people to learn about Internet Safety. As you know, we try to include all important matters on the calendar and this meeting was not noted on the January calendar. Now that there is time for sufficient notice, we hope that you will put this meeting as a priority.Thank you.
PS Career Day was great; more than 25 people visited the classes and addressed the students on a variey of professions. We are grateful for their gift of time.

HSA Meeting on Wed. Jan. 31 Now Postponed to MarchEach student was given a flyer like the one above announcing that this month's HSA meeting would address the serious issue of Internet Safety, including Internet Bullying. Please come to learn more about what can be done and what should be done to protect our children. Evelyn Medlinger from PDHP will address the parents and older students using a DVD and presenting essential information. We welcome all families, students in grades 5-8 and other family or friends.
I took a photo of the flyer and decided to let you see the flyer by way of our website in case you didn't receive it. This is another way of communicating while saving time and paper. What do you think??? Email us at office@sfabrooklyn.org to let us know that you read this. Thank you

A Giant Keyboard Can be Yours!!Please don't forget to submit the names and addresses for the Computers for Education Fund raiser. Each booklet has 11 sheets. In the photo above, two of our 4th graders are hoping to win the six foot piano. Here they are demonstrating for the other students. To be eligible for a raffle to win the piano, each student must submit a completed booklet. Thanks for your help!!

Computers for EducationMr. Earl makes a visit to SFA to tell classes about this simple fund raiser. All we need to do is put names and addresses of 11 friends, family, doctors, dentists, beauty shops, etc. They will be sent information about ordering magazines. There is NO OBLIGATION to purchase anything. We receive points for every booklet or partial booklet submitted. If two of the people do purchase, the child will receive the "Spongebob" tee shirt. So, lets work on the names and addresses...it is a very easy fundraiser....no money passes anyone's hands!!!
