Easter GreetingsThe Easter Season for Catholics is a 50 day period of joy and hope in the Resurrection of the Christ. We return to school on Monday, April 16th having left one another after our Holy Week dramatization and reminders about our Christian story, a story that appears to end in death, but reaches to the heavens as we proclaim "Alleluia, Jesus is risen as he said!" We hope to attend Church this week to celebrate Easter as a school community and pray with one another for the continued hope in a better world, a better city, as better school.
There are many days ahead for celebrating joy and hope. One of our hopeful signs is the Education Commission, comprised or community members who are working with us to ensure the continuation of the excellence of our religious and academic education programs. Below is a photo of the group meeting in October. This Wednesday, the commission will review the standards for the Middle States ReAaccreditation Process. We are grateful for their continued support and advice.

Sister Carolyn from Mercy Services Visits 5-208The lenten project for 5-208 was to collect art supplies to give to the developmentally disabled who are serviced at Mercy Services in Park Slope. In the photo, students from Ms. Curcio's class present the baskets to Sister Carolyn who told the students about the services offered.
