Science Classes Begin Garden PreparationThe 8th graders will be the first to work on the school peace garden this fall. As part of their science program, each student will have the opportunity for real "hands on" activity. On Friday, Sept. 22nd, the first group will work with Mrs. Delandro and Mr. Coello, the parish gardener, to weed the garden and prepare it for fall.
Our 4th graders very diligently keep the garden free of debris. Using their recess time, small groups armed with gloves and garbage bags work to keep the garden beautiful!! We thank them!

SUCCESSFUL MEETINGThanks to all of you who were able to attend our first Home School Association Meeting. We had a great showing in all classes and perfect attendance in K-102. We congratulate the parents and Mrs. Amoroso. The class was given recognition on the loudspeaker and a special certificate adorns their classroom door. Representatives distributed Volunteer Information, please return this to your child's teacher as soon as possible. Thank you. Next meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 3rd. Reminders will be sent home and posted on the web.

A Good BeginningLast week began our school year and things went very smoothly. The teachers and administrators had meetings on each afternoon to ensure good organization and communication.
Mrs. Tai will be completing the enormous task of making sure everyone who needs transportation receives it. Please be patient, the passes are almost ready for distribution.
Sister Marie has been in constant contact with Joe from SMART TUITION and he promises that all information will be up to date by Friday. Please make sure you are ready to send your payment when you finally receive your coupon book!!!
Mrs. Alejandro's baby is due Sept. 22nd; however, she has been prescibed to stay home and so, we expect to have a substitute in this week.
School lunch program, AfterSchool and busing begin on Monday. Hopefully, everything will run smoothly!!
God bless all of us as we begin our first full week of school.
Sincerely,

School Begins on Wed., Sept 5We pray that Sept. 5 will be a wonderful beginning of a new school year. Children in grades 2-5 who are new to the school will meet in the schoolyard where S. Barbara will direct them to the correct section and teacher. Please look for her near the staircase closest to the entrance way.
Returning students, please find the usual place for line up and check with the teacher about your section. Students in grades 5-8 will meet the teachers in the large back schoolyard.
First Graders will meet Mrs. Howell and Mrs. John near the playground. Mrs. John will assist with the new first graders.
Remember, these first 3 days are for orientation and organization. Don't forget to bring your summer assignments!! These are due by Friday.
Parents/ Guardians who are paying tuition, please remember money orders only for late tuition. Place the money order in an envelope and mark it with your name, your child's name and grade and the purpose for the payment. Two teachers will collect this along with Sister Marie.
