Beautiful Field Day

May 23rd was one of the most beautiful days this spring. Children in grades K-4 along with teachers and family members had a wonderful time in Prospect Park as they engaged in the various sports activities. Last year the rain forced this group to have the games indoors. The long walk to Long Meadow seemed shorter this year!!!

The top photo shows a small, but happy, group who took a "shorter route", met some chipmunks, and didn't get lost!!!

Beautify SFA.JPG

Fifth and sixth graders involved in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden "Project Green Reach" show the results of their work. The window boxes will be delivered to nursing homes and other agencies in the area to beautify their surroundings. In the top photo, the students in Project Green Reach share their experience with students in grade 2-107.
The large school garden boxes are being prepared by various classes. Our premises are very beautiful because of the work of the students and teachers.

Well Delivered, Adaline

Adeline and Ms. Black.JPG

Adaline represented our school at the Brooklyn Diocese Oratorical Contest with a fantastic delivery of Mary Church Terrell's speech to Congress in 1908. We are proud of what Adaline accomplished winning the silver medal for second place in the Brooklyn contest. Adaline has the makings of a lawyer or a senator! Congratulations to Adaline and her teachers!
