Summer Begins For Some Special People!!
Thursday, July 24th, was the last day for our summer programs and for the office as well. The students enjoyed a party in the schoolyard after working so well with our special "Summer Success" Math and ELA programs. See all the happy faces in the pictures shown here!

Join Bishop DiMarzio on Eastern Parkway on Monday, Sept. 1st
We will continue to remind everyone of our days in August when the office reopens and also requesting students and parents to go to St. Matthew's Church on Eastern Parkway to join Bishop DiMarzio and other churches for the annual Caribbean Day Parade.

Summer Tasks Continue to July 24th
The summer program begins its final week. Students in the Math and ELA classes have improved in these areas and will be completing the courses on Thursday, July 24th.
Mr. Oswald and Lee have been busy preparing the classrooms, hallways, bathrooms and the auditorium with care and lots of hard work!!! We are grateful for the wonderful way the school always looks for the beginning of the new school year.
Don't forget that the teachers gave all students their assignments and class lists on "Step-Up" Day. Some of the classes need to complete assignments on www.learning .com and/or www.schoolisland.com. Check on the teacher's page for the information. If you are not sure of your username or password, check Mrs. Mobijohn's page for directions.
The school office has been open since June 24th. We close on July 24th. so if you are coming to see any of us in the office, please do that this week!!!!

Happy 4th of July!
Hopefully everyone is enjoying this weekend as move into the summer weeks. Our summer classes and afternoon program have already met for a week!! The teachers are using a new version of a Math and Reading program, "Summer Success" and we know our students will be successful. The afternoon program has a small registration, so if you'd like to enroll your child for 1 or 2 weeks, contact S. Barbara.
