Anniversary Celebration

Bl Yel balloons.jpgChoir Best.jpgDon't forget to purchase your tickets for the special luncheon on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009. This is the closing event of the 100th Anniversary year. There are almost 200 attending and we hope to sell another 50 tickets to our school families. The celebration begins in Church at the 12:30pm Liturgy, with Bishop Joseph Sullivan presiding. Our choir and other students are preparing some entertainment after the Liturgy. The luncheon is being catered by Bassett Caterers, so there will be delicious food and drink. Come join alumni, parishoners, former teachers and staff and our present supportive families.

Meet the Teachers on Thursday night: 6:15pm

We have had almost three weeks of school and on Thursday, the parents will visit the school and the teachers for our annual"Back to School" evening. This year, we will begin at 6:15pm with a presentation in the auditorium, followed by opportunity to meet with the classroom teachers. The teachers are prepared to discuss class procedures, homework and classwork expectations, future events and overall SFA school policy. Conferences may be set up for a different time. The Centennial Book has arrived and we will be showing the book on Thursday. We will take orders until the quantities are gone. Don't delay, it is a very special book of many memories!!
The photos below show students in grade 8 reading to 2nd graders and a picture of the centennial book, "Our Time to Shine", St.Francis of Assisi School 1909-2009
